Pedestrian dies in Nawalparasi accident



NAWALPARASI: A pedestrian has died after being hit by a vehicle on the East-West Highway at Sisne in Gaindakot Municipality-10, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta Purba).

A Tata Sumo (Ba 2 Jha 3854) heading towards Kawasoti from Gaindakot struck Shyam Bahadur Bhujel, 47, of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-25, Chitwan, last night.

He sustained serious injuries in the incident and died during treatment, said Superintendent of Police Yubaraj Khadka of the District Police Office, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta Purba).

Police have taken the vehicle and its driver under control for further investigation. The vehicle is registered under the Office of the Controller of Accounts and Accounts, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta Purba), SP Khadka added.
