KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has set the foreign currency exchange rates for today (Wednesday), with the value of the US dollar seeing a slight increase. The buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at Rs 149.31 and the selling rate at Rs 149.91.
The buying rate of one euro stands at Rs 175.69 and the selling rate at Rs 176.39. Similarly, one UK pound sterling is being traded at a buying rate of Rs 201.84 and a selling rate of Rs 202.66, while the Swiss franc is fixed at Rs 191.53 for buying and Rs 192.30 for selling.
Among other currencies, the Australian dollar has a buying rate of Rs 106.95 and a selling rate of Rs 107.38, the Canadian dollar Rs 109.34 and Rs 109.78, and the Singapore dollar Rs 117.42 and Rs 117.90, respectively.
For Asian currencies, 10 Japanese yen are valued at Rs 9.38 for buying and Rs 9.42 for selling. The Chinese yuan stands at Rs 21.91 (buying) and Rs 21.99 (selling), the Saudi riyal at Rs 39.81 and Rs 39.97, and the Qatari riyal at Rs 40.96 and Rs 41.12.
Similarly, the Thai baht is set at Rs 4.66 for buying and Rs 4.68 for selling, while the UAE dirham is fixed at Rs 40.65 and Rs 40.81. The Malaysian ringgit stands at Rs 37.79 (buying) and Rs 37.94 (selling), and 100 South Korean won are valued at Rs 10.16 and Rs 10.20.
Likewise, the Swedish krona is fixed at Rs 16.33 for buying and Rs 16.39 for selling, while the Danish krone stands at Rs 23.51 and Rs 23.60.
Among other major currencies, the Hong Kong dollar is set at Rs 19.07 (buying) and Rs 19.14 (selling), the Kuwaiti dinar at Rs 487.38 and Rs 489.34, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 395.89 and Rs 397.48, and the Omani rial at Rs 387.81 and Rs 389.37.
The buying rate of 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160, with the selling rate at Rs 160.15.
Nepal Rastra Bank stated that the exchange rates are subject to revision at any time as required. It also noted that rates set by commercial banks may vary, and updated rates are available on the central bank’s official website.
