KATHMANDU: The Nepali men’s cricket team, currently preparing for the ICC T20 World Cup, will play their second T20 practice match against Sri Lanka ‘A’ on Thursday.
The match will be held at the Colts Cricket Club Ground, with play scheduled to begin at 2:15 pm local time.
Nepal lost the first practice match by six wickets on Tuesday. Batting first, Nepal posted a competitive total of 186 runs, but Sri Lanka ‘A’ chased down the target in 18 overs, losing four wickets in the process.
The Nepali team is currently in Sri Lanka for its pre-World Cup preparations. The third and final practice match between Nepal and Sri Lanka ‘A’ is scheduled for Saturday.
Following the Sri Lanka leg, Nepal will travel to India, where they are set to play three T20 practice matches against the MCA President’s XI in Mumbai.
The ICC T20 World Cup will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka from February 7. Nepal will open their World Cup campaign on February 8 with a match against England.
