Kathmandu’s initial minimum temperature recorded at 4 degrees Celsius today

KATHMANDU: Kathmandu’s temperature stood at 4.0 degrees Celsius at 5:45 am on Thursday, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.

However, this is only a preliminary reading. The official minimum temperature for the day will be measured again at 8:45 am, and meteorologists say it could drop further by then.

A similar pattern was observed on Wednesday, when the initial minimum temperature was recorded at 2.5 degrees Celsius, but the official figure later rose to 3.4 degrees Celsius.

The Division measures minimum and maximum temperatures across the country, including in Kathmandu, on a daily basis. The minimum temperature is officially recorded at 8:45 am, while the maximum temperature is measured at 5:45 pm.
