KATHMANDU: Nepal national cricket team will take on the United Arab Emirates national cricket team in the second match of the T20I series today.
The match will be played at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground and is scheduled to begin at 5:00 pm.
In the first match held on Monday, Nepal suffered a six-wicket defeat under the Duckworth–Lewis–Stern method after rain interrupted the game near the end of the first innings.
The match was later reduced to 10 overs, with UAE set a target of 78 runs. The visitors completed the chase with seven balls to spare.
The series marks the first time Nepal has hosted an international cricket match under floodlights.
Fast bowler Hemant Dhami made his T20I debut for Nepal in Monday’s match.
Nepal’s newly reshaped squad, formed after dropping several experienced and regular players including the former captain, failed to make a strong start in the opening match.
Similarly, the UAE squad also includes several new players who recently qualified after relocating from India.
