Clash breaks out between Nepali Congress and RSP party workers in Sunsari-4

SUNSARI: A clash between Nepali Congress and Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) cadres  in Bhokraha Narsingh Rural Municipality-4 forced police to resort to baton charges.

The confrontation occurred during a Nepali Congress election rally as candidate Gyanendra Karki was on his way to address the gathering. The dispute began after Congress cadres encountered some RSP youths on the road. Verbal arguments escalated into physical altercations, creating a tense situation.

Police deployed for election security intervened, using baton charges to disperse the crowd and control both groups. Authorities noted that the conflict arose because participants, though neighbors from the same area, were affiliated with different political parties.
