US deports 80 more Nepalis

KATHMANDU: The United States has deported 80 Nepali citizens, who were brought back to Kathmandu on Tuesday via a chartered flight.

According to Immigration Department spokesperson Tikaram Dhakal, of those deported, 79 were men and one was a woman. The deportees included individuals with missing documentation, those staying illegally, or those who had violated US immigration laws.

The deported individuals were handed over to the Human Trafficking Investigation Bureau. Officials from the bureau questioned them and coordinated with their families. They were also asked to file complaints if anyone had been illegally sent to the US.
