Nepal Rastra Bank fixes today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the foreign currency exchange rates for today.

According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar has been set at Rs 153.10 and the selling rate at Rs 153.70. The buying and selling rates for one euro have been fixed at Rs 175.83 and Rs 176.52, respectively, while one British pound sterling has been set at Rs 204.69 for buying and Rs 205.50 for selling.

Similarly, the Swiss franc has been fixed at Rs 185.65 for buying and Rs 186.38 for selling. The buying rate for one Australian dollar is Rs 109.08 and the selling rate Rs 109.51, while the corresponding rates for one Canadian dollar are Rs 109.37 and Rs 109.80. The Singapore dollar has been fixed at Rs 119.85 for buying and Rs 120.32 for selling.

The buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.70 and the selling rate Rs 9.73. One Chinese yuan has been fixed at Rs 22.86 for buying and Rs 22.95 for selling. Similarly, one Saudi Arabian riyal has been set at Rs 40.76 for buying and Rs 40.92 for selling, while one Qatari riyal has been fixed at Rs 41.99 and Rs 42.16, respectively.

The central bank has fixed the buying and selling rates for one Thai baht at Rs 4.59 and Rs 4.61, respectively. One UAE dirham has been set at Rs 41.69 for buying and Rs 41.85 for selling, while one Malaysian ringgit has been fixed at Rs 37.52 and Rs 37.67, respectively.

The buying rate for 100 South Korean won is Rs 11.04 and the selling rate Rs 11.09. One Swedish krona has been fixed at Rs 15.59 for buying and Rs 15.65 for selling, while one Danish krone has been set at Rs 23.52 and Rs 23.61, respectively.

The buying rate for one Hong Kong dollar has been fixed at Rs 19.51 and the selling rate at Rs 19.59. One Kuwaiti dinar has been set at Rs 498.13 for buying and Rs 500.08 for selling, while one Bahraini dinar has been fixed at Rs 406.11 and Rs 407.70, respectively.

Similarly, one Omani rial has been fixed at Rs 397.66 for buying and Rs 399.22 for selling. The exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees has been set at Rs 160 for both buying and selling.

NRB said the exchange rates may be revised at any time if necessary. It also noted that exchange rates quoted by commercial banks may differ from the central bank’s rates and that updated rates are available on the NRB website.
