Two arrested with 660 kg of marijuana



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested two people in possession of 660 kg of marijuana during a routine patrol operation.

According to the Central Police Newsroom, 63-year-old Nar Bahadur Thing and 52-year-old Jesun Maya Thing, both from Lalbandi Municipality-14, were arrested on Wednesday afternoon.

Police said they searched Nar Bahadur’s house after becoming suspicious and recovered 560 kg of marijuana packed in 26 sacks. A further 100 kg of marijuana was found stored in four drums at Jesun Maya’s shed. Further investigation into the case is underway, police said.
