Kathmandu Valley blanketed in fog; moderate to heavy rain likely

KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Valley has remained foggy since early Wednesday morning, with thick cloud cover dominating the sky throughout the day.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, cloud formation over the Valley has increased due to an active weather system developing between Gandaki and Bagmati provinces.

There is a possibility of rain in Kathmandu Valley at present, and moderate to heavy rainfall is expected, according to the Division.

Similarly, the weather conditions are likely to improve gradually from around 12–1 pm as the system begins to move eastward.

Once the system shifts east, the weather in the Kathmandu Valley may start to clear. It will not remain fully cloudy, and there is a possibility of partial clearing and sunshine.
