GORKHA: A youth has died after being struck by lightning in Gorkha district.
Binod Thapa, 26, of Pokharidanda in Toren, Shahid Lakhan Rural Municipality–5, was seriously injured when lightning struck last evening. He succumbed to his injuries last night while undergoing treatment.
According to the District Police Office, Gorkha, Information Officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajkumar Shrestha said that Thapa was inside his house using his mobile phone when the lightning strike occurred.
He was rushed to the Provincial Hospital, Gorkha, where he died during treatment.
