NC to take action against rebel candidates in HoR elections



LALITPUR: The Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to take action against party members who rebel against its candidates in the upcoming House of Representatives (HoR) elections scheduled for March 5.

The decision was made at a meeting of the party’s Central Disciplinary Committee on Friday at the central office, BP Smriti Bhawan, Sanepa.

The meeting, chaired by committee coordinator Taraman Gurung, resolved to take action against individuals, proposers, and supporters who might oppose the party’s official candidates in several districts, including Kapilvastu.

Acting Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Dulal said the committee reviewed measures against members who could violate party discipline and also approved the Disciplinary Committee’s Procedures-2082.
