Two dead, two injured in triple motorcycle collision in Sarlahi



SARLAHI: Two youths were killed and two others injured after three motorcycles collided with each other at Ishworpur Municipality–13 in Sarlahi district.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Saroj Rai of the District Police Office, Sarlahi, the accident occurred at around 8 pm on Wednesday.

The deceased have been identified as Mukesh Rai, around 30, and Ramgyan Rai, 30, both residents of Haripurwa Municipality–9, Mirchaiya in Sarlahi.

They were found unconscious at the accident site and were rushed to the Provincial Hospital in Malangwa, where they died during treatment.

In the incident, 22-year-old Bikram Rai and Ram Bishwas Rai, also from Haripurwa Municipality–9, sustained minor injuries. Police have taken them into custody for further investigation.

The accident occurred near Thilla along the Banke–Sangrampur road section at Ishworpur Municipality–13, where three Indian-registered motorcycles were found in a crashed condition at the same spot.

Police said further investigation into the incident is underway.
