CPN-UML Chair Oli to visit Damak today

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to visit his electoral constituency in Damak today (Monday) in preparation for the House of Representatives election to be held on March 5.

According to CPN-UML Jhapa, Oli will arrive at Chandragarhi Airport in Bhadrapur at 11:00 am and proceed to his constituency amid a welcome rally by party workers.

A welcome procession has been planned to escort Oli to Damak. UML Jhapa President Prem Giri said the rally route has been designed to pass through all five constituencies of Constituency No. 5.

The route will begin in Bhadrapur and pass through Charali, Birtamod, Kankai, Shivasatakshi, and Kamal before reaching Damak. Kamal Rural Municipality and Damak Municipality fall under Constituency No. 5. UML leaders said no public speech programs have been scheduled.

Following damage to the house where Oli stayed in Damak during last year’s political movement, the party has arranged alternative accommodation. UML Jhapa said Oli will stay at a hotel during his visit. This will be Oli’s first visit to Jhapa since the Gen-Z protests.
