KATHMANDU: Police have arrested an Indian national in possession of 1.4 kilograms of illegal gold from Bhedasingh, Kathmandu.
According to SP Rameshwor Karki of the Valley Crime Investigation Office, the arrested individual has been identified as Manik Das. Police also recovered Rs. 750,000 in cash from his possession during the operation.
Authorities said Das had been running a touch house in the Bhedasingh area. Police are conducting further investigation to determine the source of the confiscated gold and its intended destination.
