KATHMANDU: Moderate rainfall and snowfall are likely at some places in the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi Province, and at a few places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces today.
Similarly, light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely at one or two places in the Tarai region as well as in the remaining hilly and mountainous areas of Madhesh, Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
According to the Weather Forecasting Division, Nepal is currently under the influence of westerly and local winds. Temperatures are also likely to rise in the Tarai districts of Sudurpaschim and Lumbini provinces.
Tonight, the weather is expected to remain generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, while the remaining hilly and mountainous areas will witness partly cloudy conditions. The weather in the Tarai region is expected to remain mainly clear.
However, there is still a possibility of light rain and snowfall at one or two places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
