KATHMANDU: Despite generally cloudy conditions in some areas, the weather across the country is expected to remain mostly clear today.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces will see generally cloudy skies, while similar areas in other provinces, including Madhesh, will remain partly cloudy. The Terai region is expected to experience mostly clear weather.
There is a chance of light rain or snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning at a few places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and at one or two locations in Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Some areas, particularly in the Terai of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim, may also experience hot conditions.
Tonight, hilly and mountainous regions are expected to remain partly cloudy, while the Terai will continue to see mostly clear skies. The division has also indicated a possibility of light rain or snowfall at one or two places in the mountainous regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
