Nepali Congress holds ‘election pledge’ assembly in Janakpur (Photos)



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress organized a massive election pledge assembly in Janakpur, the capital of Madhesh Province, on Wednesday.

The party launched its major election campaign from Janakpur, drawing thousands of supporters and voters to the gathering. From the same event, the party is set to unveil its pledge document for the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5.

Party President Gagan Thapa, along with other senior leaders, addressed the assembly.

This time, the Nepali Congress has branded its election manifesto as a “Pledge Document.” The party had claimed it would mobilize around 200,000 cadres for the event.
