Singaporean climber dies on Mount Manaslu



GORKHA: A Singaporean national who had arrived in Nepal to climb Mount Manaslu has died. The deceased has been identified as 50-year-old Lau Wee Seng of Singapore.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajkumar Shrestha of the District Police Office, Seng died while descending from Camp 2 toward the base camp of Mount Manaslu in Samagaun, Chumanubri Rural Municipality-1, in northern Gorkha.

Seng had arrived in Samagaun on September 7 to climb Mount Manaslu, police said.
