KAVRE: Kathmandu University has provided Rs 8.5 million in relief support for people affected by the Bhotekoshi floods.
According to Kathmandu University Registrar Dr. Biraj Singh Thapa, the amount was deposited into the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund following a decision by the university’s Executive Council.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu University Teachers’ Association has also contributed Rs 25,000 to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to support flood victims.
Various government and non-government agencies, organizations and private-sector entities in Kavrepalanchowk district have also provided financial and other forms of support to people affected by the floods.
