RSP Chair Lamichhane calls central committee meeting



KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair Rabi Lamichhane has called a meeting of the party’s Central Committee for August 21.

The meeting has been scheduled to take place at the party’s central office in Banasthali. The party is preparing to nominate office-bearers and central committee members and present their names to the Central Committee for approval.

The RSP still has to nominate one vice-president, one general secretary, one joint general secretary, one spokesperson, three joint spokespersons, one treasurer and two joint treasurers.

The party is also preparing to nominate 27 Secretariat members and 51 Central Committee members. The RSP has informed its Central Committee members to attend the upcoming meeting.

At an earlier Central Committee meeting held on July 29, the party had endorsed a proposal to designate Balendra Shah as a senior leader.
