Special Court orders Bishnu Poudel released on bail



KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Vice-Chairman and former Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel has been ordered to be released on bail.

A bench of the Special Court comprising judges Narayan Prasad Poudel, Dilliratna Shrestha and Bidur Koirala on Friday ordered that Poudel be released while the money laundering case against him proceeds on a regular hearing schedule.

The case was filed on Thursday following an investigation by the Department of Money Laundering Investigation, seeking the recovery of Rs 209 million from Poudel on money laundering charges.
