RSP deputy chair Aryal unveils manifesto for Kathmandu-9

KATHMANDU: Dol Prasad Aryal (DP Aryal), deputy chair of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and candidate for the House of Representatives from Kathmandu-9, on Tuesday unveiled his election manifesto, emphasizing comprehensive development and good governance.

In his manifesto, Aryal prioritizes corruption control, pledging zero tolerance and the formation of citizen-led vigilance teams in every ward. He proposed monthly regional public hearings to resolve grievances within one week to 30 days.

On infrastructure, Aryal plans to develop the Kalanki–Satungal–Nagdhunga and Sitapaila–Bhimdhunga areas as green corridors, ensure organized Melamchi water distribution, implement a strict no horn traffic policy, reduce dust and pollution for a cleaner city, and coordinate road, bridge, drainage, and waste management projects.

For health and education, he promises 24-hour minimum health services in every ward, free health care for senior citizens and underprivileged children, and the establishment of trauma centers in local hospitals.

The manifesto also includes digital archiving of cultural heritage, establishing culture promotion centers, offering building permit incentives based on green and authenticity ratings, boosting agriculture and tourism, creating employment opportunities, setting up vocational training centers, and integrating returning migrant workers as trainers.

Aryal further pledges regulated land distribution for landless communities, road upgrades, compensation for locals affected by hydropower projects, inclusive development, and policies for youth, sports, and public safety.

Drawing on his previous experience as labor minister, he vowed to make Kathmandu-9 a model constituency and urged voters to support him under the “bell” symbol.
