Indonesia earthquake: Minister Khanal expresses deep grief



KATHMANDU: Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal has expressed deep grief over the loss of lives and property caused by the earthquake in Flores, Indonesia.

Recalling that Nepal knows well the pain and sorrow caused by natural disasters, having itself suffered devastating earthquakes, Minister Khanal expressed solidarity with and sympathy for the Indonesian government and people during this difficult time in a post on a social networking platform.

“The Government of Nepal and Nepali citizens extend condolences to the bereaved families in Indonesia and wish a speedy recovery to those injured,” Minister Khanal stated in an X post, wishing for the safety of all and the prompt rescue and rehabilitation of those missing and displaced.
