KATHMANDU: Nepal is currently experiencing the combined influence of westerly winds and regional atmospheric circulation.
According to the Weather Forecasting Division, generally cloudy conditions are expected across the Himalayan and hilly regions of the country today. The Terai areas of Lumbini and Sudurpashchim provinces are likely to experience partly cloudy skies, while most other Terai areas are expected to remain mainly clear.
Moderate rainfall or snowfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, is likely at a few places in the Himalayan and hilly regions of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces.
Similar weather conditions are possible at one or two places in the Himalayan and hilly regions of Koshi and Bagmati provinces. Moderate rainfall is also likely at a few places in the Terai areas of Lumbini and Sudurpashchim provinces.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley is expected to experience partly cloudy skies, with conditions alternating between cloudy and clear.
