Four killed in road mishap



HETAUDA: Four persons died on the spot in a road accident that took place at Indrasarobar rural municipality-2 in Makawanpur district this afternoon.

The identity of the deceased is to be ascertained yet. The accident took place when a passenger EV (Madhes Pradesh 03-0001 Ja 0720) heading towards Birgunj from Kathmandu via Hetauda-Bhimphedi-Kulekhani-Phakhel road section skidded off the road, said Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Makawanpur, Madhav Prasad Kafle.

Similarly, four persons–two male and two female, were injured in the incident. Of them, two male and one female have been sent to Kathmandu for treatment while another female to Hetauda.

A total of eight passengers including driver were on board the jeep. Further investigation into the incident is underway, Kafle added.
