Rakshya Bam urges PM Balen Shah to address Parliament

KATHMANDU: Gen-Z activist Rakshya Bam has publicly urged Prime Minister Balen Shah to address Parliament, questioning his silence since the first session of the House.

Taking to Facebook, Bam expressed dissatisfaction, stating that the Prime Minister has not publicly addressed the Parliament since the beginning of the first parliamentary session.

She argued that it is the Prime Minister’s responsibility to thank the public after the elections and address the nation on the mandate for change.

Bam said that while the idea of less talk, more work may be a personal belief, addressing the nation through Parliament remains a fundamental duty of leadership.

“In a democratic system, leadership is defined not by personal style but by democratic values and practices,” she wrote, emphasizing that people require not only technical solutions to their problems but also psychological assurance from their leaders.
