Opposition walks out of Parliament after Finance Minister starts responding



KATHMANDU: Three opposition parties walked out of the House of Representatives on Thursday after Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle began responding to questions raised on the government’s policy and programme.

Lawmakers from the Nepali Communist Party, Shram Sanskriti Party, and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) exited the House in protest while opposing the government’s approach.

The parties expressed dissatisfaction with the government’s working style and decided to boycott the session.

While the Finance Minister continued defending the government’s policy and programme on the rostrum, opposition parties raised objections to the proceedings.
