Government releases draft of national commitment document

KATHMANDU: The government has made public a draft of the national commitment document, inviting feedback and suggestions from stakeholders.

The 18-point draft was released on Tuesday as part of the government’s effort to incorporate public input before finalizing the document.

The initiative follows the release of a 100-point governance reform agenda after the formation of the government under Prime Minister Balen Shah.

According to the government, the draft national commitment document has been prepared in line with the third point of the reform agenda.

It also claims that the document incorporates key pledges mentioned in the election manifestos of six nationally recognized political parties.
