Pedestrian dies after being hit by motorcycle in Surkhet



KARNALI: A pedestrian died after being struck by a motorcycle in Birendranagar Municipality-10 of Surkhet district.

Asha Budha, 55, of Baripati, succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at Karnali Province Hospital this morning.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Kabindra Singh Bohora of the Surkhet District Police Office, Budha was walking along the roadside when he was hit by a motorcycle. He sustained serious injuries and was initially taken to Maya Nursing Home for treatment before being referred to Karnali Province Hospital, where he later died.

Police have taken the motorcycle and its rider into custody and are investigating the incident.
