Ganesh Nepali cremated at Pashupati Aryaghat



KATHMANDU: Ganesh Nepali of Mugu, who died after attempting self-immolation in Tripureshwor, was cremated at Pashupati Aryaghat on Monday.

Nepali had been rushed to Bir Hospital for treatment after the incident but later died during treatment. His family had initially refused to receive the body.

On Sunday, the family agreed to take custody of the body after reaching a nine-point agreement with the government and the Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

Following the completion of the post-mortem and other legal formalities, Nepali’s last rites were performed on Monday.
