KATHMANDU: Police have launched an investigation after privately registered cars were found parked unattended at the entrances of several media organizations in Kathmandu.
Vehicles with private number plates were found parked outside the offices of Onlinekhabar and Himalaya Television in Buddhanagar and Baneshwor, and Kantipur Media Group in Tinkune.
At Onlinekhabar’s office, an unidentified person left a car parked at the main entrance, preventing employees from bringing other vehicles inside the premises.
The identity of the person who parked the vehicle has not yet been established.
Police teams reached the locations after receiving information about the incidents. Authorities said efforts are underway to remove the vehicles and investigate the reason behind the parking.
Police have not yet disclosed whether the incidents are linked or whether any group is involved.
