NOC MD Chandika Bhatta resigns



KATHMANDU: Managing Director of Nepal Oil Corporation Dr. Chandika Prasad Bhatta has resigned from his post.

Bhatta submitted his resignation letter to Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Gauri Kumari Yadav on Wednesday.

According to sources, the resignation came after the government urged politically appointed officials to facilitate administrative convenience by stepping aside. Bhatta is said to have resigned in line with the government’s request.

Sources close to Bhatta said he stepped down with the intention of ensuring smooth functioning of the corporation and avoiding any disruption in its regular operations.
