PM Karki to table Muslim Commission’s annual report in National Assembly



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sushila Karki is scheduled to table the ‘Annual Report of the Muslim Commission for Fiscal Year 2023/24’ at today’s meeting of the National Assembly.

According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, the meeting is set to begin at 12:15 pm, with the Prime Minister expected to present the report as per the tentative agenda.

During the session, Tulasa Kumari Dahal, chairperson of the Legislation Management Committee, is slated to present two reports: the ‘Study Report on Inter-Legislative Relations among Federal Units, 2082’ and the ‘Implementation Assessment Report, 2082 on Child Participation Provisions under the Act Relating to Children, 2075’.

Similarly, Maya Prasad Sharma, chairperson of the Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee, will present a proposal seeking discussion on the committee’s ‘Study Report, 2082 on the Immigration Act, 2049 and Delegated Legislations Formulated under the Act’.

The agenda also includes an address by National Assembly Chair Narayan Prasad Dahal, who will inform the House about a letter received from the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers regarding the allocation of responsibilities among Cabinet members.

Chair Dahal will further brief the Assembly on a communication received from President Ram Chandra Paudel concerning the prorogation of the ongoing session.

President Paudel, in accordance with Article 93 (1) of the Constitution and upon the recommendation of the Council of Ministers on February 9, has ended the current session of the National Assembly effective from 12:00 midnight tonight.
