NRB issues today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today (Friday).

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs 144.65 and the selling rate at Rs 145.25. The buying rate of one euro stands at Rs 171.84 and the selling rate at Rs 172.55. Similarly, one UK pound sterling is being traded at Rs 197.34 (buying) and Rs 198.16 (selling), while the Swiss franc is fixed at Rs 188.38 (buying) and Rs 189.16 (selling).

The Australian dollar has been set at Rs 103.08 (buying) and Rs 103.51 (selling), the Canadian dollar at Rs 106.65 (buying) and Rs 107.09 (selling), and the Singapore dollar at Rs 114.71 (buying) and Rs 115.19 (selling).

Likewise, the buying rate of 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.44 and the selling rate is Rs 9.48. The Chinese yuan is fixed at Rs 20.96 (buying) and Rs 21.05 (selling), the Saudi Arabian riyal at Rs 38.57 (buying) and Rs 38.73 (selling), and the Qatari riyal at Rs 39.69 (buying) and Rs 39.85 (selling).

According to the central bank, the Thai baht is being traded at Rs 4.67 (buying) and Rs 4.69 (selling). The UAE dirham is set at Rs 39.38 (buying) and Rs 39.54 (selling), the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 37.07 (buying) and Rs 37.22 (selling), and 100 South Korean won at Rs 10.07 (buying) and Rs 10.11 (selling). The Swedish kronor stands at Rs 16.29 (buying) and Rs 16.36 (selling), while the Danish kronor is fixed at Rs 23.23 (buying) and Rs 23.33 (selling).

The Hong Kong dollar has been set at Rs 18.51 (buying) and Rs 18.58 (selling). The Kuwaiti dinar is fixed at Rs 474.03 (buying) and Rs 476.00 (selling), the Bahraini dinar at Rs 383.67 (buying) and Rs 385.26 (selling), and the Omani rial at Rs 375.74 (buying) and Rs 377.30 (selling).

Similarly, the buying rate of 100 Indian rupees has been set at Rs 160 and the selling rate at Rs 160.15.

Nepal Rastra Bank stated that the exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. The rates set by commercial banks may vary, and updated rates are available on the central bank’s website.
