KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress will elect 13 office bearers and 121 central committee members through its ongoing special general convention.
Election Committee coordinator Sitaram KC announced the election plan while briefing journalists, saying the polls will be conducted in line with the party’s existing statutes and established procedures.
According to KC, the election will choose one party president, two vice presidents, two general secretaries and eight joint general secretaries. In addition, central committee members will be elected from various groups and inclusive quotas as stipulated by the party’s rules.
The election is being held as part of the special convention aimed at forming a new leadership structure for the Nepali Congress.
