Nepalgunj Sub-metropolitan City approves Rs 1.76 billion budget



NEPALGUNJ: The Nepalgunj Sub-metropolitan City Assembly has approved a budget of Rs 1.76 billion for the upcoming fiscal year.

The 19th Municipal Assembly, under the chairmanship of Mayor Prashanta Bista, endorsed proposals for the beautification of the Bagishwari Temple area and Khadeshwor Junge Mahadev Temple, construction of a 108-foot Hanuman statue, commercial buildings, an entrance gate at the Jamunaha checkpoint, and a city bus park.

The assembly also stated that the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the proposed Nepalgunj Ring Road will be completed soon, after which the project implementation process will move forward.

The budget prioritizes sustainable urban development, revenue enhancement, improved public service delivery, conservation of lakes and parks, expansion of green spaces, and effective monitoring of development projects.
