Gold price crosses Rs 300,000 again



KATHMANDU: The price of gold surged sharply in Nepal on Tuesday, crossing the Rs 300,000 mark per tola once again.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of fine gold increased by Rs 4,400 per tola in a single day.

The federation fixed the price of gold at Rs 302,900 per tola for Tuesday, compared to Rs 298,500 per tola on Monday.

Meanwhile, silver prices also recorded a significant increase.

The price of silver rose by Rs 355 per tola — an increase of around 6.6 percent in a day. The federation has fixed the silver price at Rs 5,695 per tola for Tuesday. Silver was traded at Rs 5,340 per tola on Monday.
