Westerly system influences Nepal’s weather



KATHMANDU: The country is currently under the combined influence of a westerly low-pressure system and monsoon wind circulation.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, the Himalayan and Hilly regions are expected to experience partly cloudy conditions, while the Terai region will generally see fair weather.

Morning mist has been observed in some parts of the Terai. Moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms is likely at scattered locations in the Himalayan and Hilly regions.

In Koshi, Bagmati and Karnali provinces, moderate rainfall with thunderstorms is likely at several locations in the Himalayan and Hilly regions. Similar weather conditions are expected at scattered locations in the Himalayan and Hilly regions of Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpashchim provinces.
