EV catches fire, driver dies in Chitwan



CHITWAN: The driver of an electric vehicle (EV) died after the vehicle caught fire on the East-West Highway in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-9 today.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been established due to severe burns sustained in the incident.

According to Rameshwor Poudel, superintendent of police at the District Police Office, the EV, bearing registration number Ba. Pra. 01-030 Cha 5579, caught fire this morning. The blaze was brought under control with the help of a fire engine. The vehicle was completely destroyed in the fire.
