Foreign Minister Khanal holds meetings with counterparts from India, Bhutan and Bangladesh



KATHMANDU: Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal, currently in Port Louis, Mauritius, to attend the 9th Indian Ocean Conference, held separate meetings with his counterparts from India, Bhutan and Bangladesh on Friday.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Khanal met with India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, where the two sides reviewed various dimensions of Nepal-India relations and discussed issues of mutual interest. Both leaders expressed commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation.

During his meeting with Bhutan’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, D. N. Dhungel, discussions focused on expanding longstanding ties and enhancing cooperation in key areas.

Similarly, in a meeting with Bangladesh’s Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman, both sides expressed satisfaction over the friendly relations between the two countries and explored ways to deepen cooperation across multiple sectors.
