Rabi Lamichhane makes public his election expenditure



KATHMANDU: Rabi Lamichhane, chair of the Rastriya Swatantra Party and a candidate for the House of Representatives of Nepal from Chitwan Constituency-2, has made his election expenditure public.

According to the official expense details submitted to the Election Commission Nepal, Lamichhane spent a total of Rs 989,987 during the election period.

As per the statement registered at the District Election Office Chitwan, the highest amount was spent on meetings and gatherings, as well as food and ration supplies.

The report states that Rs 180,000 was spent on meetings and gatherings, while Rs 196,000 was spent on food purchases.

The expense report, signed by Lamichhane’s representative Sita Gyawali, lists expenditures under 10 different headings.

According to the details, Rs 295,000 was spent on transportation and fuel, Rs 112,000 on publicity materials such as flags and badges, and Rs 14,200 on voter training.

The report also mentions that Rs 10,000 was paid as the nomination registration fee, while Rs 13,626 was spent on three air travels during the election period.
