RSP projected to secure 58 PR seats



KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party is projected to secure the highest number of seats under the proportional representation (PR) system in the House of Representatives of Nepal.

According to projections based on the ongoing vote count of the HoR election, the party is expected to obtain 58 PR seats.

The Nepali Congress is projected to secure 20 seats, while the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) is likely to obtain 16 seats under the PR system.

Similarly, the Nepali Communist Party is projected to secure 9 seats.

The Shram Sanskriti Party, led by Harka Sampang, and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party are each projected to secure 4 seats under the proportional representation system.

The PR vote counting is still ongoing, and final results will be announced by the Election Commission Nepal after the completion of the tally.
