Motorcyclist killed in collision with jeep in Sarlahi



SARLAHI: A motorcyclist was killed after a Magic jeep collided with his motorcycle on the Nawalpur-Malangwa road section at Jagatpur in Haripur Municipality-8, Sarlahi, on Saturday morning.

The accident occurred at around 8:15 am when a Magic jeep, registration number Na 1 Ja 6308, travelling from Nawalpur towards Malangwa, struck a motorcycle, registration number Madhesh Province 02-010 Pa 2221, coming from the opposite direction.

The motorcyclist, 30-year-old Arvind Sah of Ganeshia in Malangwa Municipality-7, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Provincial Hospital Malangwa for treatment. He was pronounced dead at 9:20 am while undergoing treatment.

Police have taken the jeep driver, 33-year-old Nazamudin Baitha of Haripur Bazaar in Haripur Municipality-2, into custody.

Further investigation into the incident is underway, police said.
