KATHMANDU: The Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund currently has more than Rs 12.43 billion available.
According to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, as of 9 am this morning, Rs 9.14 billion is deposited in nine different banks.
Similarly, US$21.637 million has been deposited in the fund’s dollar accounts at two banks. The office said the total amount available in the fund has reached Rs 12.43 billion.
According to the details, an additional Rs 172.569 million and US$274,062 were deposited into the fund on Bhadra 25 alone.
A few days ago, Rs 1 billion was released from the fund through the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority for victims of the Bhotekoshi River flood in Rasuwa.
