KATHMANDU: A cabinet meeting is being held today to make search, rescue, relief and rehabilitation efforts in flood-affected areas more effective and to take necessary decisions.
Prime Minister Balendra Shah has called the meeting for 3 pm at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar.
“Following the devastating flood that struck Bhotekoshi in Rasuwa on August 26, the government has been continuously working on search, rescue, treatment, relief and rehabilitation for affected people,” the Prime Minister’s Office said.
“In this context, the Prime Minister has called the meeting to make search, rescue, relief and rehabilitation efforts in flood-affected areas more effective and to take necessary decisions,” it said.
