KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister and Nepali Congress leader Sher Bahadur Deuba is scheduled to visit flood-affected areas of Nuwakot today to assess the damage and the situation on the ground.
According to his secretariat, Deuba will take relief materials to the affected communities and carry out an on-site inspection of the flood-hit areas.
Deuba, accompanied by other senior Nepali Congress leaders, is scheduled to leave Kathmandu by road for Nuwakot, the secretariat said.
Earlier, Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa had also visited areas affected by the floods to assess the situation. Thapa traveled to flood-hit Rasuwa last Friday with a team of experts.
