CHITWAN: As many as 53,469 LP gas cylinders have been dispatched to Kathmandu from gas industries in various districts after gas bullets were unable to reach the capital due to the landslide at Krishnabhir.
A total of 53,469 filled cylinders were sent to Kathmandu on Wednesday from industries in Chitwan and other districts to ensure an uninterrupted supply of cooking gas in the Kathmandu Valley.
According to Bimal Kalakheti, a central member of the Nepal LP Gas Industry Association, Nepal Gas Industry, Narayani, dispatched 4,543 cylinders of various brands. These included 1,213 HP cylinders, 1,678 Nepal Gas cylinders, 140 Geeta cylinders and 1,512 Sagar cylinders.
Similarly, Nobel Gas Industry in Dhanusha sent 5,618 Sagar cylinders to Kathmandu, Kalakheti said.
From Bara, Gas One (NL) Industry dispatched 1,609 Sitashree cylinders. Jagadamba Gas Industry sent 2,121 cylinders of Metro STC and Surya brands, while Leo Gas Industry dispatched 3,181 cylinders of Ugrachandi and Shree Maya brands. Amber Gas Industry sent 1,092 Siddhartha and Metro STC cylinders.
Likewise, Super Gas Industry in Parsa dispatched 663 Himal cylinders, while Manoj Gas Industry in Parsa sent 1,037 Ugrachandi and Metro STC cylinders. Sahara Gas Industry in Makawanpur sent 7,877 Everest and Sugam cylinders, while Gandaki Chitwan dispatched 7,348 cylinders of AP, Nepal and Geeta brands to the Kathmandu Valley.
Sai Baba Gas Industry in Chitwan sent 5,337 cylinders of Shree Krishna and Sai Baba brands to Kathmandu, while Baba Gas Industry in the district dispatched 8,716 Shree Gas cylinders.
Similarly, Janaki Gas Industry in Nawalpur sent 2,642 Shree Ram and Om cylinders, while Chandeshwari Gas Industry in Nawalparasi dispatched 1,685 Sagar cylinders to Kathmandu.
Kalakheti said the cylinders were dispatched from industries in different districts after gas bullets were unable to reach the Kathmandu Valley due to the road obstruction at Krishnabhir. The arrangement has been made to prevent a shortage of LP gas in the capital.
