Light rain with thunder likely today

KATHMANDU: Weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy, with isolated rain and thunder possible in hilly and mountainous regions today.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the hilly and mountainous regions are expected to remain generally cloudy, while the Terai region will see partly cloudy conditions.

Light rain with thunder and lightning is likely in a few places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and in one or two locations in other provinces.

The Department has stated that tonight, Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces will remain generally cloudy, while other provinces will see partly cloudy skies.

There is also a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning in a few places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi Province. In addition, one or two places in the hilly and mountainous areas of other provinces, including parts of the Terai in Koshi, may also receive rain.
