PM Karki thanks India for support ahead of Nepal elections



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has expressed gratitude to neighboring friendly nation India for its support in facilitating Nepal’s upcoming elections.

At Singha Durbar, PM Karki met with Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava, and thanked him for providing vehicles and other resources to help ensure the smooth conduct of the elections during a crucial period for the country.

In response, Ambassador Srivastava said India will always support Nepal’s democratic process and considers it a duty to assist as a friendly neighbor.

He also noted that the democratic and constitutional stability Nepal achieves after the elections will be important for India as well.
